Article Dollars Without A Buzz
by web directory on Apr.30, 2009, under Advertising
The art of making money online can be a daunting tedious task. In fact, it can become so tedious that many would-be netrepreneurs end up giving up. How is it that guys like John Chow, Shoemoney, and Darren Rowse can make $1,000′s from one recommendation?
It is because they have already paid their dues. They have put in the necessary study hours along with countless trial and error experiments to know what works from what doesn’t. They have steadily with blogging, writing content, and interacting with social networks years before most of us got into this business ;thus, they have long acquired the famous “buzz” that ring inside of a person’s head saying:
I could have sworn I heard of that guy (or product) before…or that name sounds familiar?
Even if the person considering the recommendation doesn’t have any real knowledge of the one doing the recommending, they just assume that if so and so recommends it, it must be good/worthy…all because the particular recommend er’s name became so “associated” with the niche you’re checking out! That person has undoubtedly come into contact with the particular recommend er in some shape, form, or fashion enough times for that name to have been subconsciously embedded in their minds. This is the power of branding which usually starts from a buzz – your name being associated with expertise in some type of niche.
So BUZZ is what you need to be successful at making money online, huh? And if so, how do you get it and spread it?
One method I have found that works is sharing your knowledge on blogs and forums in the same niche as yours. Since it makes for interesting story on how I arrived at this methodology as well as being highly relevant, I will tell it now:
The first niche I chose to make money online in was the online shopping niche because it appeared to contain what I figured were products the general population wanted. Since I knew little about internet marketing I began to seriously study as much as I could on the subject while constantly reading marketing blogs and Googling everything I had read or even heard a brief rumor about. After about a year of money making successes and failures along with meticulous blog and forum reading I began to realize I had answers to many of the questions other people were asking…I had somehow “jumped” up the ladder of internet marketing knowledge!
I soon found myself freely and effortlessly providing helpful answers to questions regarding making money online. And the best part of it was receiving thank yous and praises for the insights I had given which actually attained some good for those who followed it. This verified in my mind that I had indeed jumped to a higher level. This “buzz” I seemed to be generating motivated me to to start the Netrepreneurs Blog which was later renamed MarketSecrets dot biz.
I was on a “high” from this buzz feeling just as good as one would feel from the Buds that make you Weiser…
…that is, until I ran into another marketer who killed my buzz!
This marketer -whom shall remain nameless- wrote a post about article marketing on which I commented by basically saying having a buzz first would make your articles be taken more seriously. He replied with actual results to boot proving that you did not necessarily need a “buzz”. In fact, a “nobody” could write just the right article (in a certain format) and begin receiving just as much targeted traffic as a so-called “somebody”. The secret according is to use an already successfully proven article template which can be easily found on EzineArticle Blog.
To me, these templates did not seem to have the right flow for what I consider to be a worthy article, but the marketers who make the most profits from writing articles were most definitely using these types of templates! And since I try to obey my motto at all times, the very next article I wrote was formatted using one of the more successful article templates. Shortly after it was approved I noticed a spike on traffic I had not experienced when previously submitting articles in the past…so it is looking good so far.
Now I still believe having a buzz FIRST can dramatically improve the success rate of an article marketing campaign or Twitter followship, but let us face it, most of us simply are not popular enough like John Chow, Shoemoney, or Darren Rowse. And the time spent trying to reach that popularity could be better spent writing quality articles based on a winning formula.
Besides generating targeted traffic for your offers, writing better articles also generates a buzz as well. So the potential for making more sales and getting a buzz can go hand in hand, but you do not necessarily need a BUZZ first.

Understanding Why You Must Archive Your Ezines And Newsletters Online
by web directory on Apr.28, 2009, under Advertising
As a publisher of ezines and newsletters, you know that customers always want more from your services. One way to provide customers a good service while increasing your search engine rankings is to place your ezine archives online. By placing these online, you are giving your readers a value-added service that will set you apart from other ezines and newsletters, which will help your Online Business. Not only will this provide value to your customers, but also by placing your archives online, the search engine spiders are able to “see” your unique combination of content. Ultimately, having your ezine archives online will give you higher search rankings and additional keyword phrase variations that everyone so desperately wants.
There are some things to consider when making the decision to put your newsletter archives online.
The first consideration is whether or not your ezine model is a paid subscription or a free subscription. If your ezine is a pay subscription, you probably do not want to place all of your archives online where someone can access them for free. If you were to do this there would be no need for readers to actually pay for a subscription. However, you may want to consider placing a couple of archived issues on a website, so that potential customers and advertisers can see what it is your publication has to offer them. Then, you can keep your remaining archives in a member’s only website that is only accessible to your paying subscribers.
If you offer a free ezine or newsletter, there is little reason not to offer all of your archives for free online. The reason that people will want to go ahead and subscribe to your ezine or newsletter is that they can get the issue as soon as it comes out. You may want to consider only offering archives online that are at least a few months old. In other words, do not offer this month’s issue in the archive for a few more months, so that people will still want to subscribe to your publication to see it when it is first made available.
Search engine spiders love content on websites. Not only do spiders like the generic content, but they really like valuable content such as articles. Quality content is one of the primary things that search engines look for when providing rankings and the level of importance of a website. The articles that are included in your archive will boost your search engine ranking. Having a higher search engine ranking means that potential subscribers are able to find you much easier. Being easy to find and offering a service such as free ezine with archives gives potential subscribers many reasons to choose your ezine or newsletter to land in their email box over your competitors.
Having your publications placed in an online archive will automatically provide you with a good amount of keyword optimization. For example, if you are publishing an ezine that mainly talks about home improvement, there is a high likelihood that many of the articles in your publication will contain the words “home improvement”. Now when a potential subscriber searches on the Internet for “home improvement,” they are much more likely to be directed to your website and learn that you provide a valuable subscription on this very topic. If you do not have your archives online, chances of picking up these new visitors and subscribers are greatly diminished.
Simply put, having your newsletter archives online is probably the easiest way to increase your exposure in the search engines and the easiest way to increase your ezine’s subscriber base for free. It is very inexpensive to provide your archives online, and it can improve your subscriber’s experience, letting him or her feel good about the service that you are providing to them.
People may have a desire to read your publication, but your ezine can easily get overlooked due to the excessive number of publications currently arriving in the subscriber’s email box. A day will come when an individual feels overwhelmed by the number of publications arriving in their mailbox each day or week. When this starts to happen, they start canceling subscriptions because it is simply too much hassle to go through and delete these newsletters and ezines every week or every month. I have found myself in that position, so I eliminated the ones that bored me and only kept one or two subscriptions that really seemed to offer me the quality content that I wanted in an easy-to-read format. It was getting to be annoying to go through my email on a regular basis to filter out the excess ezines and newsletters that I did not read anyway.
So if you want to set yourself apart from your competitors and offer this value-added service to your customers, you seriously need to consider placing your archives online. It is likely that you will be surprised at the change in your search engine rankings as well. Again, if you provide a pay subscription do consider offering a few issues in a free archive, so that you can at least show potential subscribers and advertisers the quality of the product you provide.
Follow my advice, and down the road, you will be able to generate more income from your newsletter, because you will have a much larger list of subscribers to count as your own.

Online Advertising – Free Is Always Fantastic
by web directory on Apr.19, 2009, under Advertising
On line advertising is one very important method for promoting your products and services to thousands of potential customers who are looking to buy.

There are also so called auto submitter software or packages that you can buy but there is no way for you to use them effectively because you cannot verify whether your ads have been placed or even viewed by others.
Classified sitesares accessible 24/7 allowing you access anytime, it’s very effective and efficient and most of it comes free. No downloads. No sign-up fees. No hidden charges. No annual or monthly fees. No sales fees. It is absolutely free.
Free on line internet advertising makes it easy for you to put free ads on several of the premier quality web sites whenever you want. This kind of benefit you get from free internet advertising can only do, to say the least, miracles for your business. The one thing to keep in mind with free on line advertising is that you will have to renew your ads frequently if you want to keep them active.
Free internet advertising is a great way to make your products or services known to the millions of prospective consumers in the Internet and make your web site start producing money. There is an enormous audience for free internet advertising that is present in the Internet, that the probability of anyone needing your services or wanting to buy your products is very high.
There are free services out there that may suit your services, products and web site. Browse the internet for the best free internet advertising for assessment on their amenities and features how to advertise or join your web site for free internet advertising.
As an internet marketer, whether you are using on line advertising or other methods, you want to keep in mind that attemping to sell a product directly from an ad, or a page that a person is sent to from an ad, usually is not a good strategy. A better way is to “pre sell” the person by providing good, meaningful content for them and to capture their email address for future communications.
By having a person Opt-in to your email list they have volunteered or ‘opted-in’ their email addresses to you. These lists are very effective for creating personalized email to prospective clients. Sending followup emails to your list is 100% legal and a good way to promote your product or services to people who are interested in them.
Free on line advertising provides a great technique for building traffic. People constantly search on online free internet advertising ads for specific services or products. Free internet advertising target clients inclined to buying a particular kind of product or service in mind.

5 Benefits Of Using Feeds – How Feeds Can Help Your E-Biz
by web directory on Apr.09, 2009, under Advertising
What’s a Feed?
Feeds are a way of sharing content. When you make material from your web site, like articles and blogs, available for publishing on other sites, you have to provide them with a code that lets them post those things. There are different kinds of code — XML, RSS, Atom, etc. — but essentially, they’re all just different ways of accessing a feed.
According to Internet expert Sydney Johnston, of http://Auction-Genius-Course.com, “The great thing about a feed is everybody wins.” The article writer gains exposure, the reader learns about something valuable or interesting, and the online seller gets an endless source of pertinent content for their web site.
What Can a Feed Do for My Online Business?
Feeds are useful in a number of different ways:
• They Eliminate Spam Filters.
They’re 100% opt-in, so readers can subscribe and unsubscribe at will. Feeds are delivered directly to your subscribers, so you don’t have to contend with filters knocking you out of your customers’ inboxes.
• They Provide Free Content.
One of the best ways to differentiate your site is with quality content. Supply readers with interesting material; educate them on topics relating to the product you’re selling. If you sell preschool toys, you may not want to study child development and write numerous articles on the subject — so find someone else who’s already done that and make their feed available to your customers. The constantly updating, applicable subject matter gives your visitors a reason to come back again and again.
• They Can Improve Your Search Engine Rankings.
In the past, search engines were unable to read feeds, but software is now available to translate them into live links the engines can see (check out http://CyberWS.com). Search engines love fresh, dynamic content, so feeds are ideal. They provide relevant information that updates automatically. Not only do your customers get the facts they’re looking for, but the search engines like your site and give it better positioning.
• For Affiliate Marketers, They’re an Alternative to Banners.
You not only give your customer valuable knowledge, but if they click through and purchase something, you get credit. And unlike with banners, you don’t look like you’re putting up junk ads or spam.
• They Can Increase Your Traffic.
Anything you write, you should make available as a feed. When other sites pick it up, it’s free advertising for you. All their traffic is able to click through the feed to your site, so you gain new potential customers you wouldn’t have otherwise.
Feeds on any subject are easy to find. There’s a whole collection of search engines created just for feeds, like http://Plazoo.com and http://Feedster.com. Says Johnston, “The future of the Internet for entrepreneurs is feeds. If people don’t master them, they’re going to get left behind. Period.”

Know How To Maximise Your Profits When You Post Using A Classified Ads Website
by web directory on Apr.07, 2009, under Advertising
Classified Advertising is a fantastic way of selling any unwanted goods, business products or even posting house or Car Classifieds. If you want to find out how to maximise profits when buying or selling, continue reading, as we explain the simple ways of getting your advertising viewed time and time again, and therefore watching your money making skyrocket.
Traditional classified ads were a great resource in local newspapers and magazines but these have been overtaken by the ease and speed of posting on community websites. You can now get your message out to the world in seconds by posting free classified ads.
The origins of classified ads were from the printed media where postings were grouped into categories or classes. They were costed by the letter so were usually short to maximise the cost effectiveness.
When you post an ad, whether it is selling a product, trying to get a date or even posting wanted requests, the advert needs to sell so there are several aspects you need to consider.
1. The headline is THE most vital part of a classified ad as it is what the intended customer will see when scanning through a long list. It needs to jump out at them, otherwise they will just carry on browsing.
Use inspiring or motivating words eg Limited Offer, Don’t Miss Out, Find Out More etc. Make the reader curious or anxious to click. Use a combination of upper/lower case letters or perhaps unusual characters to make it stand out (but try not to make it look spammy).
2. Focus on benefits not features. People want to know what the product can do for them. Tell them how they will be getting a bargain, how it will make them lose weight, be more attractive, get rich, Whatever, just appeal to the human emotions. Use words like feel, see, enjoy that appeal to the emotions.
3. Be honest and truthful and to the point. Classified ads are meant to be short and sweet, their purpose to get you to click through, email or telephone for more information. The more personal information you include the more likely you can be trusted.
4. Include photos, audio or even video to backup your advert. Many sites now offer extra features even with free classified ads so utilise them. Humans prefer to see pictures than read text on a screen as it gets the message across quicker so take some good photos and post them with your ad.
5. End with a call to action. Tell people what you want them to do and they are more likely to do it, eg Call Today, Find Out More Now etc
6. Proof read your page before you post as spelling errors look amateurish. Also try different wording and headlines and monitor them, don’t be afraid of changing stuff around till it really works for you.
Remember, with the massive number of classified ads on the internet, it is really a numbers game to promote your business. Reduce the time and effort you need to spend advertising your business. Find a Free Classifieds website that has relevant traffic, offers photographs and video and use the tips above to really supercharge your sales today!

Printed Flash Pen Drives Are The Technical Item For Everyone
by web directory on Mar.31, 2009, under Advertising
Over recent years promotional USB flash drives have become a best selling advertising tool, quickly taking on the market that has traditionally been dominated by items such as printed pens, printed calendars and promotional t-shirts. These are all excellent promotional gifts to use in marketing campaigns, but are all seen as fairly disposable by the recipients and the companies using them. But flash pen drives are seen as a gift that is useful and worth something, so recipients are more likely to keep hold of them and to therefore take notice of the logo printed onto the side of the device.
What’s more you can also preload USB pen drives with files that can also be part of your marketing materials. You can include on the drive a selection of ebooks, advertising pdf files and such like and within these files link directly to relevant pages on your website. When the recipient opens them, they can read more information about what you are offering and follow it up directly on your website. Your entire company’s brochure can be preloaded onto the flash pen drive and the brochure set to automatically run and open as soon as the USB pen drive is inserted into a machine.
What’s more, with a bit of clever preparation and thought before hand, the brochure and other information on the flash drive can be write protected when it is preloaded. This means that the rest of the storage space on the flash pen drive is available for the recipient to use, making it a useful tool to keep, whilst they also can’t delete your promotional materials, meaning that they always have access to them on them on the drive. But write protection and auto running probably don’t go together. If the user has to read your company’s literature every time they insert the USB pen drive into a machine, then they will quickly get fed up with seeing the information and the flash drive will not be seen as a useful tool and is more likely to end up instead in the bin. If you want an autorun to open your documentation, then also include instructions on how to remove the autorun from the flash pen drive, if not the documentation as well.
custom USB flash drives are a high tech device that will appeal to the entire market. Users don’t need to be extreme techies to appreciate them. Anyone using one or more machines will get the benefit from them. They will see that you have given them something that is useful, far better than a pen or a promotional t-shirt, and are more likely to keep it and use it time and again. This is bringing longevity to your advertising campaigns, which is vital.

Promoting Choices Are Endless For Small Business
by web directory on Mar.29, 2009, under Advertising
Often, the biggest obstacle that most, if not all, small businesses have is a limited budget. Let’s face it. Having a small business makes it difficult for you to have the most glamorous marketing campaign such as that of the big firms and Fortune 500 companies.
Search Engine Submission Service
And you know for a fact that advertising is truly expensive. If you don’t look out, you might just wake up one day with your funds depleted, and strapped with a marketing campaign that provides lackluster performance.
Knowing you have other things to allocate your funds for, you know that you have to consider all things first before you can shell out your hard earned dollars for your coveted marketing tool. Be it full color flyers, or even a large format poster, you can’t afford to be picky when you’re looking at a very small fund to stretch.
With the funds you’re operating on is just enough to get you a decent marketing campaign for your business, it’s no wonder that many business owners and marketers are turning to other alternative promotional vehicles to introduce their brands. In fact, most marketers and advertisers are looking at ways to get attractive and compelling marketing campaigns for the price they can afford of course.
But this is a common misconception of most business owners and advertisers about advertising that should be changed right away. Although a limited budget may mean limited access to the most expensive ads such as your full color flyer printing campaign or your large format poster printing project, it doesn’t mean that you should settle for a mediocre piece.
On the contrary, having a limited budget means you will be able to come up with a more creative ad campaign that will help you effectively introduce your business to your target market.
And it’s not all print ads actually. Marketing your business can be advantageous in a way because you’re able to hand out to your target clients your message in a nice piece of paper. But as always, you can also try some alternatives that can help you promote your business better.
You might want to try co-sponsoring a worthwhile activity, for example. It may be in promotions, events, trade shows, and exhibits located locally. This way, as a small business, you’ll be recognized as a supporter of your community endeavors. This is actually what most big companies do to market their name and brand. As a potential client looks at the new ads, they will be eager to see that you are a staunch supporter of the local community, and hence, a better choice between you and your competitors.
The key is not therefore be frustrated just because you happen to work on a very limited amount. Small businesses are often very imaginative, especially when it comes to stretching their money and making sure that every penny is put to good use. They may not have the money, but they do have excellent marketing tools that show professionalism and credibility.
