Finding A Hotel In Custer And Custer State Park In Black Hills Of South Dakota

by on Apr.21, 2009, under Travel

Have you always wanted to wander where the buffalo roam? Then make sure and stop in Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota just 25 miles south of Rapid City on US Hwy 16A, and a few miles east of historic Custer SD. Custer State Park offers four distinct resorts, each with its own personality and packed full of things to do that your whole family will remember forever.

One resort is the State Game Lodge nestled in the scented pines. Built in the 1920’s, it served as the “Summer White House” for President Calvin Coolidge. Grace Coolidge Creek, known for its amazing angling, twists nearby through the valley of birch, oak, and aspen trees. Accommodations range from cabins to stately lodge rooms to a recently-renovated motel. While you are there, book a buffalo jeep safari and see the mutli-ton animals in their native habitat.

The famous Frank Lloyd Wright designed Sylvan Lake Lodge on Hwy 87, was built after the original Victorian lodge burned in 1935. Located at the base of the Harney Peak Trail off the Needles Highway, this resort connects with many biking trails and access to the beaches of the lake for fishing, swimming, or just relaxing. The Lakota Dining Room features delightful game dishes. For the more rustic in nature, cabins situated in the pine forest are also available.

The Blue Bell Lodge, also on Hwy 87, offers visitors a more pastoral Western flavor with trail rides and chuck wagon cookouts as some of the things to do. The facilities are in a guest ranch style. Each cabin has its own campfire ring for telling ghost stories or playing the harmonica at the close of the day.

Legion Lake Lodge, located on Hwy 16A, sits directly at the water’s edge of Legion Lake. It boasts large family cabins and recreational sports such as swimming, boating, and angling. Named because it once hosted the American Legion, this site has access to the Centennial Trail right from the Lodge’s back steps. Be sure to include a walk along the Badger Clark trail in your list of activities.

There are many attractions in Custer State Park. Wildlife Loop Road allows visitors to view animals such as bison, prairie dogs, burros, and deer from the convenience of their automobiles. The best times for viewing are early morning and early evening when the animals are most active. Don’t forget to look skyward. You may spot a golden eagle.

Come visit Custer State Park on your way to Custer City in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Your kids will love it!

Dakak Park Beach Resort – Philippines
For more information on related resorts, visit Classified Online Ads

Nestled on an island cove, Dakak Beach Resort is sheltered from all the elements coming in from Sulu Sea. Depending on what time of the year you come and visit; the waves are usually gentle and silent. So no surfing for those water sports enthusiasts. But there are so many things to do in Dakak that you will never be bored. There’s a tennis court, horseback riding, 2 swimming pools, an outdoor whirlpool and golf. For water sports, there’s kayaking, hobie cats and jetskis for rent as well as water-skiing and scuba diving. There are island tours arranged by the resort staff. The rates are very high compared to most resorts in the Philippines; but the pristine white beaches and crystal clear waters will dissolve any apprehension you might have. I have been lulled to sleep on a hammock here by the peaceful sounds of the sea and the background noise created by the other guests. The restaurant serves the freshest seafood. The hotel staff also performs local dances and songs for the guest’s entertainment. After dinner, there is a live band playing nightly and the bar serves a wide array of food and drinks.

Dakak Park Beach Resort is located on the sunny white beach facing the exotic turquoise Sulu Sea. The 750 meter private beach is blanketed with pure powdery white sand. Natural spring water and tumbling waterfalls feed the resort’s two pools, whilst the ultimate hideaway is provided at a private open-air jacuzzi where you can relax in the sauna and whirlpool amidst an atmosphere of blissful solitary refinement.

Take a romantic sunset cruise on an outrigger and admire the stunning natural beauty of Dakak with your loved one. Stroll through the pristine private beach which is ideal for relaxation and sunbathing. While in Dapitan, explore the city with its old houses and cathedral set amidst bright flame trees and bougainvillea flowers. Shop for local handicrafts and delicacies. After all these, pamper yourself with a massage and sauna.

This beach resort is another pride of tourism here in the Philippines. A place where you will experience a complete paradise!

Pay Per Click Advertising Great For Travel Industry

by on Apr.19, 2009, under Travel

With the economic recession showing no imminent signs of getting better those involved in the travel industry must make their advertising efforts more effective. Traditional high street travel agents are dissapearing as the publics holiday budgets are slashed and as increasingly Google et al increasingly is where holiday makers are researching and buying their holidays and flights. Given this the more savvy travel agents are paying more attention to their website and their online marketing efforts, including Pay per click advertising in an attempt to win new business.

PPC is great for holiday and accommodation providers as the search engines are by far and away where most holiday/hotel bookings originate from.

Moreover as often the keywords to be used are very targeted e.g. ‘holiday villa rental in nerja’ the conversion (lead/enquiry) rate can be very high and therefore cost per conversion low. Typical overseas holiday providers can often see a conversion rate of 3%-10% and cost per conversions of £4-£12. Pay per click enables advertisers to target specific locations and types of holidays based on their changing requirements. For example in November advertisers could spend 50% of budget on targeting, for example, Costa Brava villa holidays and 50% on Javea villa holidays and in July 30% Southern Spain 30% diving 40% Northern Spain. Similarly ppc advertisers could promote last minute deals if they hadsurplus inventory or packages they could be looking to sell quickly . Also a pay per click campaign can be turned on or off, up or down to reflect seasonality.

Other key ppc benefits to the holiday/travel industry include:

- Can target any country
- Massive Vast exposure on all biggest search engines plus content sites
- Detailed reporting tools such as Google Analytics help with measuring performance
- Helps build database for other marketing efforts (for example direct or e-mailshots etc)

The most important Google ppc advertising and likely for those enquiries to happen. Also if a strong call to action can be made applicable e.g. “fill in your details for free Spain holiday guide” (this can be an automated PDF or similar to keep costs down) it is a great way of capturing more potential buyers.

Tips To Help You Get The Best Cheap Flight

by on Apr.17, 2009, under Travel

The economic downturn is forcing many of us to rething our annual vacations. Lots of people are choosing to staycation rather than jet off to the sunshine. This means that the travel companies and airlines are all trying to capture a diminishing number of potential customers. This means there are some great bargains to be had.

The price of your flight will influence the overall cost of your holiday. Finding the cheapest flight possible can save you a packet but being the cheapest doesn’t always mean the best.

There are an abundance of online flight booking and comparison services available today The more research you do the better informed you will be and better able to make a good choice. Whatever you do, don’t go grabbing the first cheap flight you come across. Take your time and do your research. Be certain to look at other aspects of the flight and not just the price and keep a look out for discounts and special offers.

The day that you choose to fly can greatly influence the cost. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays tend to be the cheapest days to fly but did you know that the time of your flight can also affect the price? When gathering flight price quotations be certain to select different flight times and see the price differences.

If you are looking online in advance you will already be aware that buying in advance can give you the best price. However, there are always some fantastic last minute bargains but these are generally best if you don’t have a specific destination in mind. If you already know where you want to go then be certain to book your flight well in advance for the best savings. Booking in advance is not only good for flights it’s good for just about every other aspect of your holiday. For example, booking your holiday accommodation well in advance will give you some useful savings as will booking your Gatwick airport parking or Heathrow parking space.

Always take a close look at the restrictions applied to your cheap air fare . This is particularly important if you are travelling with children. You will want to know if you can transfer to an alternative flight and if you do what the additional cost might be.

Before you press the button to purchase your tickets online always check all of the details. Many people rush through the process only to discover a typo in their name, their address or even an error in the date of travel. Check and double check all of your details before committing to purchase those tickets.

Try not to be swayed by your previous flying experience. Many people develop affiliations with specific airlines because of the good experiences they may have had previously. Always compare the prices and details of flights side by side and choose the one that fits your requirements and your budget as your favoured airline may not be the cheapest.

Always take advantage of any discount offers that may be available to you. Maybe your credit card offers discounted travel or maybe through your employers you can get cheaper flights or travel insurance. Always take advantage of these offers as they can add up to some significant savings.

Hopefully these suggestions will help you to save some valuable cash when making your holiday travel arrangements. The most important thing to do when trying to travel on a budget is leave enough time to do so good, thorough research and book as much as you can in advance.

Good Vacations Aren’t Only For The Rich – Walt Disney Is Supposed To Be For Everyone!

by on Apr.15, 2009, under Travel

The other day my kids asked me if they could go to Disney World, what did I answer? I cant afford that! I hate to see my kids disappointed so I decided to evaluate my options for trip to Paris. I started my search on Yahoo, it did not take me long to find an all-inclusive week in the middle of the summervacation. I guess my kids are not the only ones that like Walt Disney World Paris, because those numbers I saw on the website were high!

I am no quitter though, so I continued my search for a cheap option. Turned out this was a lot easier than I expected. I started by looking for a mid-week instead of a full week, I mean after four days it might even be more fun to visit Paris for the weekend than to stay even longer in Disney World. After that I started looking for a mid-week outside the summer, the price was going down with a lot of Euros. A way better number rolled out of the website, with a little less luxury and these previous changes combined the price has more than halved! Go here for disney world vacation packages.

That was not all though; the most challenging test had yet to come; getting my wife’s permission. I had two options here: I could first discuss it with her, or get the kids hyped and be like: ‘well if mommy does not mind..?’ Personally I really hate that second one, because it’s not the right base for a relationship in my opinion. The second method is a lot more effective though! Anyway, I used the first method and started talking about our kids’ lack of cultural knowledge. My wife quickly agreed with me, a little surprised about me bringing up the subject. So I continued ‘They did really amazing at school this year, maybe we should reward them a bit, and I got the perfect combination in mind!’ she looks shocked and anxiously asks me ‘What is it!?’ then I tell her ‘Let’s have a trip to France! We could reward the kids by stopping in Disney Land and then in the weekend we could visit the Louvre and such’ She totally loved the idea.
So my five pieces of advice?

You do not have to stay for two weeks; a weekend or mid-week will also be lots of fun. This can greatly reduce the costs and possibly even mean more fun for you, remember when you get too much of something it could get boring. Paris can be fun as well by the way!

Go outside the main vacations, during the middle of the summer you will pay way more than two weeks before spring break. If your kids are in school you could always ask if they can stay home for one or two days so you can take a long weekend.

Look for a cheap package, almost just as much fun but at a very different price.

Do not take an airplane, train and car work just great!

Get permission from your wife! Do this the right way so it becomes a great vacation for all.

Find Out Helpful Advice About Travel Reservation

by on Apr.11, 2009, under Travel

Travel reservation Tips For A Hassle-Free Trip
by: Paul Bittle

Start with the basics. Anyone who wants to enjoy a hassle-free trip has to start with the basic concern of any traveler – how to handle travel reservations. Here are a number of tips that may help:

Decide on a travel plan – specific destination, how many days, what activities, etc. The attention given to this first step will ensure smooth sailing in making the travel arrangements.

If the destination is a foreign country, make sure all information that would be needed in making reservations are on hand.

Airline Reservations

If booking on online, use a reservation site where ticket prices for all airlines are shown so a comparison can be readily seen. If booking for more than one person, check also the ticket price for both a single passenger and multiple passengers. Some airlines quote different prices.

If notification of your reservation is done by e-mail, make sure that the ticket price quoted is the same. Sometimes, some airlines claim the airfare booked earlier is no longer available.

Hotel Reservations

Ask if the rate is a flat rate or per person. Ask how many beds are in the room and what the size is. Make sure to finalize a rate before getting off the phone.

Ask about tax rates that would be added.

Will breakfast be included with the price of the room? What time is it served and what is included.

Are there guarantee and cancellation policies? Most hotels require guarantee for reservation with a credit card. Will they ask a check deposit?

If this is a standard Travel reservation, make sure there is a confirmation number.

*What is a Realistic Budget for Traveling?*
by: Stuart S. Travel

One you can afford – seriously.

Look at how much you earn. What can you put aside for a trip? What are you prepared to sacrifice to make your trip a reality? Maybe you’ve been saving for a while and have a few thousand dollars in the bank. You do? Great. Well that’s your realistic budget. If you want to fly to Europe tomorrow and you only have ten dollars in the bank then you are not being realistic. But it might be enough to get you in to the local museum for a few hours escape.

When you are setting your budget, be practical. Everyone has different needs for their travel experience and if your travel plans include overseas flights, you will need to budget accordingly. Sure you can find great deals and get there cheaper than you might have expected, but make sure you have enough money in your budget to not only get you there but to travel around, find a place to sleep, oh and have enough money to be able to eat!

So how do you go about setting a budget? Following these steps might help:

1. Draw up a table with two columns.

2. Column A is for Expense Items. Column B is for Approximate Costs.

3. In column A write down all the things you can think of that will cost you money while traveling. These might include: air flights, car hire/fuel allowance, travel passes, sight-seeing tours, accommodation, food, insurance, immunizations, and souvenirs.

4. In column B write an estimate of how much you think these things will cost while on your trip. You can research your travel costs quite easily on the Internet. Food allowance might be a bit more difficult. If you are traveling alone, as a couple or in a family you will need to budget food costs accordingly.

5. Now add up the costs. This will give you an estimate of how much your trip will cost. Can you afford it? Yes – then this is a realistic budget for you. If not, then you may have to rethink your destination and the type of travel experience you want.

Remember that this table will only be an estimate of your travel costs. You must also budget for incidentals and prepare yourself for things to not go to plan. For example, have you got enough money in your budget to buy new clothes if your luggage goes missing? A realistic travel budget will have extra built in to it to cover emergencies. Setting yourself a budget of about sixty-five dollars a day, if traveling alone, is a reasonable amount. If you are traveling as a family or in a group, this number will be vastly different.

Also consider if you will be traveling and working. If this is the case, then you may not need as much to start with, just enough money to get you to your destination and a place to live while you look for work. (And enough money to buy you food until you begin earning a wage.)

Start making your travel plans with your budget in mind. Don’t exceed your budget, always keep a little in reserve so you can buy that fantastic Italian leather handbag or go jet-skiing in Hawaii if the desire takes you!

If you do not fancy moving too far several restaurants and bars are within walking distance. More restaurants, bars and supermarkets are 5 minutes away.

Casares Del Sol is just one of the many excellent Casares Del Sol Villas properties available to rent by holiday makers to the area.
