CECT N95 – Double Slider Design With Many Innovative Features

Next to the iPhone, the Nokia N95 is perhaps the most popular chinese mobile phone on the market right now. These two phones appeal to different types of consumers, though. Some love the flat touch screen while others embrace the double slider design. Both are great phones, and both have the latest, most innovative technology available. But, both have very expensive price tags.
Most of my friends agree that any phone which costs more than the payment on a decent car is simply too much, especially since the “latest technology” is constantly changing. For folks like me, the Chinese clones are a very viable option. This replica is priced under ΒΌ the cost of the original. The clone is a dead match in appearance when held side by side to the Nokia. The knock off has all of the features of the original including: a touch screen; the ability to surf the web, email, and text; a 2.0 mega pixel built in camera with advanced editing features and web cam; full MP3 and MP4 capabilities; and Bluetooth. The real difference, besides the price, is that the clone does not have GPS or WiFi. If you can live with this, the knock off marries that latest design with highly sought after features. It sports a really nice camera that takes sharp photos as well as CECT’s revered load speakers and great sound system.
Chinese manufacturer CECT became well known by copying and adding improvements to Apple’s iPhone in the form of the mega selling P168. This success propelled the company to roll out knock offs of many popular models. Nokia’s elite N95 is the latest in this Chinese phone maker’s replica line up.
If you can’t stomach the price of the N95 (up to $650 for the 8GB version), the cloned version may well be a very attractive option because it has most of the features and specs of the original for only a fraction of the price, as follows:
Appearance: The knock off version looks very similar to the original, with both offering silver and black options. Both the original and the clone are 2 way sliders which expose a full texting keyboard.
Features: Both phones are tri band. Both have smart phone capabilities that allow you to surf the web, email, text, play MP3s and MP4s, take camera and video on the built in digital camera and webcam, and enjoy Bluetooth. It will read your GSM sim card.
However, there are tradeoffs and bonuses inherent with the knock off, like:
The knock off is dual sim. This feature has been embraced on the clones because it allows the user to have two phone numbers or plans on one cell phone. The original N95 does not offer this option. CECT is well known for its high quality surround sound speakers.
However, the downside is that the clone only has a 2.0-3.0 mega pixel digital camera while the original version has a 5.0 MP phone. Pricing: The clones’ price makes up for these shortcomings in the eyes of many. I think this is very reasonable considering the technology in and performance of this phone.
If you absolutely need higher than a 2.0 MP phone or GPS and WiFi, you likely won’t be happy with the CECT N95.
